Setup Billing

Set up your billing account on Skytells to unlock full platform access.

Set Up Your Billing Account

To access the full capabilities of the Skytells platform, you'll need to set up billing and add a payment method.

Open the Dashboard

Log in to the Skytells Dashboard with your account credentials.

From the Dashboard, go to Billing. This is where you manage your payment methods, view invoices, and track spending.

Add a Payment Method

Click Add Payment Method and enter your card details. Skytells supports major credit and debit cards.

Your card will not be charged until you exceed your free tier usage or make an explicit deposit.

Deposit a Minimum of $5 USD

To activate your billing account, deposit at least $5 USD. This balance will be used for API usage beyond the free tier.

Deposited funds are applied as credit to your account. You only pay for what you use.


Billing Overview

Once billing is active, the Dashboard gives you full visibility into your spending:

  • Usage Summary — track API calls, tokens consumed, and costs by model.
  • Invoices — view and download past invoices.
  • Payment Methods — add, update, or remove payment methods at any time.
  • Spending Limits — set monthly limits to control costs and avoid surprises.

If your balance runs out and no payment method is on file, API requests will be rate-limited to the free tier.
